I was quite shocked when i went crazy about this song yesterday. I'm a person who normally dont like hindi movies and loathes bollywood but this song really caught my attention for some reason. After listening to it a few times i realised that this is probably the most innovative song to come out of Bollywood for a long long time.

Yes, you read correctly!! No i dont have sad taste.. trust me! I am very picky and choosy when it comes to songs and movies whether it be Bollywood or Hollywood. It might come across as crappy and "dehaati" but this song kicks-ass!! It is so innovative. None of the normal BS that bollywood songs have and plus it is so very different from the songs coming from bollywood. There is a certain flow in the lyrics, the tune is catchy and the voice suites this type of song perfectly!

It is so innovative... so very different... so very colorful! Tell me how many other such songs have come out of bollywood??? i'm sure u can count the number on 1 hand. Now, Now, dont start counting from the beginning of Bollywood, i'm talking about the recent times. Bollywood has gone thru a makeover in the past 20 years & this song is a tribute to its innovative capabilities!

I salute the creators of this song! Congratulations on a job excellently done.

Today it finally hit me that my life takes yet another turn. I have to head back towards home. A place where i grew up. A place which i call home, yet home as its own frightening connotations.

For nearly 5 years now i have been living away from home and i have come to love and respect this city inspite of all its wierd recent downward trends. I've going to miss my friends here. I'm going to miss the activity in this city. Bangalore is so alive, it might pose to be dead at night but behind that screen its an active city. Its a city of diversity. Its a multi-faceted city with an open and active culture. Even though there is a recession its still manages to jump up. People here are so exciting, they are so active and they want to live life and enjoy. There are so many places to go and so many things to do here. I instantly connected with this city. Within a short span of time I fell in love with this city. Oh i'm gonna miss this city.

I've been living away alone here and have learnt more in these 5 years than i learnt in the 19 years i spent at "home". I've learnt to manage my life in my own way and have gotten used to living alone. I've been away from all the various problems that "home" brings and i've been glad about it. But now going back and diving straight into a bottomless pit frightens me. Going back to a city I already know, a city which i'm a little fed up of is definitely not appealing.

Today once again I was introduced to the various problems at home and it saddened me that it'll restrict me so much. Facing the problems there is something i dont want to. I'd rather run away from there and start afresh. Living again with family and listening to the daily ramblings is the last thing i want or need, ever!

I've become so used to keeping my own company that now i can't stand seeing people all the time, after a point i want to be alone. But "home" ensures that i'll never be alone. There always be someone diving into my life and asking 1001 and questions to which i'll have no choice but to answer. I dont like having no choices. I dont like other people having even the slightest control over me. I like living alone and I like making my own decisions. I'm afraid i'll become dependant again!

Will I still get to do whatever i want? Will I still get to take off in the middle of the night? Will I still get to do those unpredictable things?

But whatever I say, home is still home.

The secret of the filled jar.

An expert on the subject of time management was speaking to a group of business students. He stood in front of these high-powered overachievers, pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouthed Mason jar, and set it on a table in front of him. Then he produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?"

Everyone in the class said, "Yes."

Then he said, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. Then he dumped some gravel in and shook the jar, causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. Then he asked the group once more, "Is the jar full?"

By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered.

"Good!" he replied. He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in and it went into all the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?"

"No!" the class shouted.

Once again he said, "Good!" Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.

Then he looked up at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?"

One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things into it!"

"No," the speaker replied, "that's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is this: If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all."

Who will rule the world in the future?

I'm sure Larry Page started Google with the aim of becoming a quick millionaire. I'm sure he never thought that one day Google would overtake or even prove to be serious competition for Microsoft.

So what has Google been upto? It started off by revolutionizing the internet search engine. In 2002 i had no idea what Google was. Had never heard of it. The most popular website that i knew of was Yahoo!. Then one day my brother told me to use Google for internet search, and i did. Since then nothing has been the same.

Google has revolutionized the cyber world with its entry. It changed the way search was done and it has changed website aesthetics. Its simple and minimalistic designs have caught the eye of millions of people across the globe and more and more sites are now going in for the simple and use-friendly approach.

What started of as a search engine has now become an empire. Apart from the search engine Google has now gotten into multiple domains across the cybersphere. With Gmail it entered the email provider field and has beaten all the other existing providers and changed that field. Initially it used to be surprising to find any email provider giving more than 2-4 mb of storage space but with gmail came the idea of unlimited storage space. What started with 1GB of space (in an era where 800mb was a lot), today is about 7GB of avaialble space to its individual users. Gmail also introduced the concept of labels and did away with the clumbersome folder system. It made email access lightning fast, easy to use and easy to organise.

From Gmail it spread to Google Talk its Instant Messenger, again revolutionising the messengers with is very simple and easy to use interface. And then came Google Documents, an online version of Microsoft Office. MS Office which is expensive to acquire is a superb piece of software used by practically all offices. People who can afford it end up buying this software and those who cant can download it the pirated version. But Google recognised the huge market it could capture if it gave the people an option to stop breaking the law. With Google documents it launched a service almost the same as MS Office, only it was free to use. And it is a hit (no surprises there). It is also one of Microsofts biggest competitors.

With Picasa, YouTube, Google Video, Shopping, Blogs, Calendar, Orkut, News etc. Google has practically entered all the various fields on the interenet possible. Revolutionising or changing the way things are done. Softwares like Android, Google Chrome, Google Earth, Google Gears etc. Google is now beginning to challenge most of the big names and coming out on top. It has so much access to interenet users' data that a service like Google Analytics can easily track anyone's browsing history without any problem. We are already dependant on Google, atleast i am. All my emails ranging from the past 5 years are already on Google server. My calendar is already on a Google Server. This blog is on a Google server. My IM is on a Google server, my pictures are slowly going online. As they improve Google Documents and MS Office lags behind i'll shift to Google and then all my documents, excel sheets, presentations etc will be on a google server. When and if Google Drive comes about a copy of our Hard Disks will go onto a Google Server. I'm afraid that one day i'm going to wake up and find that my computer has no hard disk, the screen and the keyboard just a form terminals while all my data is stored in Mountain View on a Google Server!

Slowly and slowly at a snail's pace Google is taking over our lives and getting access to all our important and sensitive data. 50 years down the line we will all wake up and find out that Google is the Government, Larry Page the Emperor and Sergey Brin his 1st in Command and we wont be able to stop them because they would have access to all her sensitive data and have the power to incriminate all of us.

And the worse part is if one day those Google imperialists ask us to pay up for everything (whether as usage cost or as taxes) then we are all dead! :D
